If you haven’t been to Aruba before,
then you are in for a real treat! If you have been there, then you
know what we’re talking about. Aruba is a very friendly island and it is
very safe. You can walk the beaches or the streets at any time of day or
night without fear of being in danger. The people who live on the island
are peaceful and trustworthy, as well as, fun-loving. The climate is
always warm with a pleasant tropical breeze and the beaches are some of
the most beautiful in the world.
The water in Aruba is safe to drink
right from the tap, in fact, it tastes much better than most of the water
you drink in the states. The variety of foods available is amazing; from
Chinese to Cuban to Dutch cuisine and it all tastes wonderful! And,
shopping is a tourist’s delight.
Having visited Aruba over 80 times in the past
20 years, we thought it was time to buy property there. Aruba
feels like our second home anyway. We bought land in a new development not
far from the airport. We began building our vacation dream house in July
2001. The house is a spacious 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom, Caribbean ranch
style. We have decorated it in a light, comfortable manner maintaining an
open atmosphere yet trying to achieve a tropical coziness. We also have a
private swimming pool which is wonderful if you just want to stay at the
house or for late evening swims when you return from your adventures on
the Island. Since we can’t
be there full time, we thought we would share our beautiful home with
others.
Since we live in New England, we are
familiar with renting cottages on Cape Cod. We thought we might use the
same concept for our house in Aruba. The house is completely furnished.
Bed linens and bath towels are supplied. The kitchen is fully equipped
with dishes, cooking tools, etc. There is no maid service. We ask our
guests to please pick up after themselves and leave the place in the same
good order as they found it.
We do have a property manager in Aruba,
should you have any problems. She will greet you when you arrive, be
available by phone throughout your stay for emergencies, and will close up
the house when you leave.
We suggest that you make arrangements
for a rental car before you arrive. Although our home is very close to the
airport and the downtown area, there is no public transportation in this
residential area. You will want to visit many of the beautiful beaches
which are all over the island, sample many of the wonderful restaurants,
and explore the island so a rental car or jeep is a must. Links to rental
car agencies, restaurant sites, water sports, etc., can be found on our
home page.
We look forward to having you as our
guest. Please e-mail us with
any questions or reserve a week right
now! Bon Bini!
